Placemat : BISHU / Check+Orange

Sale price¥3,850

These colorful placemats are a signature MARINA & MITSUKO design, crafted using deadstock textiles—unused or discarded fabrics that would otherwise go to waste.

The fabrics come from Bishu, one of Japan’s most renowned textile regions. Centered around Ichinomiya City in Aichi Prefecture and spanning western Owari to the Seino area of Gifu, Bishu is known worldwide for producing high-quality textiles. In addition to premium wool favored by international fashion houses, the region also produces a wide variety of cotton, linen, and polyester fabrics.
From the inevitable deadstock generated during production, we carefully selected each piece by hand, checking the colors and textures and thoughtfully choosing combinations one by one.

Simply placing them on the table brings a bright and joyful touch to any setting. They pair beautifully with our original bamboo fiber plates, making them an excellent option for a thoughtful gift set.

Because these placemats are made from deadstock fabrics, each one differs in material and texture. We have prepared small quantities of each combination, but availability is extremely limited.
If one catches your eye, we recommend purchasing it soon.
